This very special tour will takes us through time to the very heart of the Pyrenees, to places that few of the visitors to Barcelona ever get to see. This adrenaline-fueled trip will include and combine different highly enjoyable routes, specially planned for off-road cycling enthusiasts, and includes rides down slopes surrounded by breath-taking scenery and wild nature.
The Pyrenees mountain range covers an area of 450 square kilometers, from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Mediterranean in the east. It acts as a natural border between France and Spain. An excursion in the Pyrenees brings you face to face with alpine scenery, lakes, waterfalls and cliffs – a breathtaking backdrop to the singular cultures that developed over the years under the auspices of the isolation amid the mountains.
After having met in Barcelona Airport, we will start with logistical organiztion of our bikes, preparing and mounting them on our vehicle. We will then head northwards to the unique principality of Andorra. Pending on time of landing, we will stop to kick off our tour with an exciting activity – the Tobotronc – the fastest and longest mountain sled in Europe, which will get our adrenaline flowing.
We will wake up early to have a good breakfast and set up everything for our first day. Our route will take us across the Andorran Pyrenees. The entire trail should be quite smooth and wide, allowing you to get accustomed to the bike and the landscape.
Riding along some of the highest trails in the Pyrenees, we will head down for a visit in the deserted Church of Santa Magdalena. We will cross the range in the midst of grandiose scenery, meeting the odd isolated farm, ski stations, forests and endless green pastures on which bell carrying cows graze. Further on we will have lunch in the mountain refuge and continue our ride settling out on our way to the final stage of this day, to reach Rialp.
Our second night will be spent in a hotel in the area of Sort.
Distance covered: +/- 60km
Accumulated elevation gain: +/- 1,400m
Beautiful views and panoramas await us today, as we will be riding for more than 20 km at the height of over 2000 meters.

From the refuge we will start descending towards the town of Espot. We can have a short break for coffee at this beautiful popular settlement which is a gateway to the National Park of Aiguestortes. From there we will continue with the local road up the village of Jou and start the long and fun trail to the town Esterri. We will have dinner and spend the night in a hotel in Sort.

There we will have a fun ride crossing wooden bridges to cross the river of the Vall de Cabanes. The local road will take us to some of the most beautiful passages of this valley, one of the most beautiful valleys in the Pyrenees, with broad green pastures on horses graze. We will climb on an easy trail to reach and visit the monastery in the deserted village of Montgarri. This used to serve as a way station for refugees escaping during WWII.
